How to prepare for an MRI and a X-ray CT scan?
The examination of the abdominal organs is performed on an empty stomach. Patients must not eat and drink anything six (6) hours prior to your appointment.

Any medical test with the injection of intravenous iodinated contrast media for RCT requires creatinine and urea tests that are not older than 1 month old. It is necessary to check whether a patient is allergic to iodine. If they have an allergy, they must consult an allergist.

MRI of the female pelvic organs: the day before the examination, a patient should take 2-3 tablets of drotaverine (No-spa) to inhibit the intestinal peristalsis.

Patients must bring the results of the examinations they have undergone.

There is a weight limit for any MRI – a maximum of 100 kg.

A patient must bring their identification, medical policy and SNILS .

MRI or X-ray CT are carried out if a patient had a bowel movement or cleaned their intestine (by having an enema or by taking special medications).
